I want to thank my sister, who despite being out sick from work, dropped everything and drove and hour and a half to stay with the littles while we went to the ER, to my mom, who just recently lost her own mother but came to hold down the fort with incredible strength, to everyone who sent their prayers and thoughts to our family, to those who delivered food and toys to our family members at home, and to everyone at work who supported me so I could be by Isabel's side.
Since working full-time, the issue that came up immediately after the emergency nature of the situation passed was which parent was going to stay in the hospital? Since my husband took winter break and a snow day, it was my turn (not that I could have been extracted from her side by any means, but still...). I can not imagine being more lucky working than working with my colleagues who I am sure took sacrifices in their personal lives to let me deal with mine.
Thank you, thank you to everyone whole heartedly. And thank you, God, for this outcome.
